Norwegian University of Science and Technology

The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim represents academic eminence in technology and the natural sciences as well as in other academic disciplines ranging from the social sciences, the arts, medicine, architecture to fine art. Cross-disciplinary cooperation results in innovative breakthroughs and creative solutions with far-reaching social and economic impact.

 

Being nominated by Statoil, NTNU joined the VRGeo Consortium in 2005 and was an academic member until 2014.

 

 

In 2016, NTNU rejoined the VRGeo Consortium being nominated by ExxonMobil.

  • Excellence in education, providing the nation with computer scientists having a core of knowledge allowing them to adapt to a rapidly changing technology and providing industry, universities and government with the next generation of leaders in the field;  
  • Excellence in working with industry, government, educators and the community to advance computing and to serve the needs of these organizations and groups.

 

Being nominated by ExxonMobil, the University of Utah joined the VRGeo Consortium in 2018.
